
After getting the night off to a promising start, things turned in the other direction for Hopkins County Central. The Lady Storm kicked off a four-match road trip Tuesday evening by heading up the road to take on Webster County and dropping a tough four-set decision to the Lady Trojans.
The Lady Storm came out and took the opening set 25-22 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
The second set saw the Lady Trojans battle back to take the second 25-14 and even the match up at one set each.
The momentum from that win carried over for Webster County to the rest of the evening. The Lady Trojans won the third set 25-17 and then closed out the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth.
Mallory Wagoner had stepped up for the Lady Storm, racking up 12 kills, 5 aces, and 9 digs.
Calajia Mason also had a big night for the Lady Storm, finishing with 5 kills and 3 blocks.
Izzy Hight set things up for Hopkins County Central with 32 assist, 3 aces, and 3 kills.
Hopkins County Central drops to 4-2 with the loss. The Lady Storm are back on the road Thursday night to take on the Trigg County Lady Wildcats.
