HCA Tunes Up for All A with Four Set Win Over Christian Fellowship

With freshman Hadlee Hayes back in the lineup, the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors appear ready to make their bid for an All A regional championship this weekend. The Lady Warriors tuned up for the regional with a four-set win over Christian Fellowship Thursday night.

The Lady Warriors jumped out quickly on the Lady Eagles Thursday, winning the first set 25-14 and then taking the second set 25-16 to go up two sets to none.

Christian Fellowship avoided the sweep by battling back to take the third set 25-22. But there would be no comeback for the Lady Eagles.

Heritage then closed out the match by winning the fourth set 25-18.

Mya Goodwin was unstoppable attacking the net for the Lady Warriors. She finished the night with 16 kills. She also had 8 service aces and two assists. Katie Cansler added 7 kills and four assists.

Hadlee Hayes, who missed the district loss to Christian County with an ankle injury, led the Lady Warriors in assists with 11. Makenzie McCarty added 10 more for HCA.

Heritage Christian goes to 7-3 with the win and will take on Crittenden County in the All A regional semifinals Saturday morning at 9:00 at HCA.
