Livingston Central’s Clay Calender finished tied for 70th place in his first appearance at the All A Classic State Golf Tournament in Richmond.

Calender scanned his ticket to the state tournament by winning a playoff at last month’s region event at Drake Creek Golf Course.

His round included four pars and a birdie on the par-5 second hole at Gibson Bay Golf Course which featured consistent winds between 10-15 mph and its signature narrow fairways over a hilly topography.

Cam Roberts of Pikeville was the lone golfer to put a red number on the scoreboard. He shot two-under on the back nine and finished with a 3-under par 69. He defeated Sy McDaniel of Lexington Christian by three shots.
