A heartbreaking way to lose Friday night for the Todd County Central Rebels. Webster County kicked a late game field goal to turn back the Rebel threat to pick up their first road win of the season as the Trojans picked up the 23-20 win in Dixon.
The Trojans got on the board first on a touchdown with 5:04 to go in the opening quarter giving them a 6-0 lead.
Webster County found paydirt late in the opening quarter to extend their lead to 13-0 with just over a minute to go in the quarter.
Thanks in large part to a big first half from B.J. Farlow, the Rebels rallied in the second quarter. Todd County Central scored twice in the quarter and cut the Webster County lead to one going into the half.

The Trojans padded the lead with a touchdown with 2:27 to go in the third, making it 20-12.
Todd County Central scored in the final minute of the game to tie things up at 20-20. B.J. Farlow caught the pass for the 2-point conversion to tie the game.
Just as it seemed as if things were headed to overtime, the Trojans quickly got into field goal range. Trojan kicker Brian Alfaro knocked through a 26-yard field goal with three seconds left.
The loss drops the Rebels to 1-2 on the season. Todd County Central will head south of the border next Friday night to take on Stewart County.
