Lady Maroons Split Matches at Lady Colonel Classic

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons split a pair of matches Saturday at the Lady Colonel Classic at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville. The Lady Maroons picked up a 6-0 win over Trigg County and then lost a 3-2 battle against a very good Greenwood team.

In their first game of the day, five different Lady Maroons found the net as Madisonville-North Hopkins got the win over the Lady Wildcats. Hadley Hodges led the Lady Maroon attack with two goals. McKinley Wilson, Carly Gillette, Hannah McKinsey, and Madison Hill all had one goal each.

Hodges also had two assists in the match. McKinley Wilson and Hannah McKinsey had one each.

For the match, Madisonville outshot Trigg County 21 to 5.

Kaytee Parish had 3 saves for the Lady Maroons.

In the marquee game of the event later Saturday, the Lady Maroons fell 3-2 to Greenwood.

McKinley Wilson and Madison Hill scored the goals for the Lady Maroons.

The game was played fairly evenly with each team having 15 shots.

Kaytee Parish had a solid effort in goal, finishing with 7 saves.

With the results of the day, Madisonville-North Hopkins now stands at 7-3-1 and will host Ohio County on Tuesday.
