On a history-making night for their coach, the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons picked up their 8th win of the season. The Lady Maroons took an impressive 8-0 home field win Tuesday night over the Ohio County Lady Eagles.

This one belonged to the Lady Maroons from the early part of the match. Madisonville-North Hopkins headed into the break with a 4-0 lead and scored four more goals in the second half to reach the 8-goal rule.

It was a dominating performance for the Lady Maroons as they outshot the Lady Eagles 21 to 1.

Madison Hill had another big night, finishing with 6 goals. Kailey Barber had 2 goals and 2 assists for the Lady Maroons.

The win was the 7th in the last 8th match for Madisonville. The only loss in that stretch is a one goal loss to Greenwood over the weekend at the Lady Colonel Classic at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville.

Not only was it the 8th win of the season for the Lady Maroons, it was the 500th career win for Coach John Tichenor. Tichenor is in his second tenure with the Lady Maroon program.

He was the coach for Madisonville-North Hopkins from 2009-2014 and then returned to the program in 2017.

The Lady Maroons are back on the pitch Thursday evening when they host Webster County.
