Heritage Christian Takes District Road Win at Hopkinsville

Make it four wins in their last five outings for the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors. Heritage picked up another district win Thursday night, knocking off Hopkinsville in straight sets at Tiger Gym.

Heritage Christian came out of the gate strong rolling through the opening set 25-9.

The Lady Tigers found their footing a bit in the second set but it still ended up being the Lady Warriors that took the set, winning 25-17 to go up two sets to none.

Hopkinsville went toe-to-toe with Heritage Christian in the third set before the Lady Warriors were able to complete the sweep with a 25-22 win.

HCA was led by Mya Goodwin with 8 kills. Grace Conley and Katie Cansler added 6 each.

Hadlee Hayes set things up in her usual style, ending up with 11 assists in the match.

Bralee Fowler led the service attack for the Lady Warriors with 4 aces.

For the Lady Tigers, Madysen Taggart led the attack at the net with four kills.

Kyleigh Weber added three assists and three digs for Hopkinsville.

Heritage Christian (9-4) will host University Heights Monday in a key 8th District matchup.

Hopkinsville (1-7) will also be in district play Monday night taking on Christian County at home.
