After falling to their crosstown rivals on Tuesday night in a 7th District matchup, Hopkins County Central rebounded with a solid road win Thursday night. The Storm went up the parkway to Leitchfield and came away with a 1-0 win over Grayson County.
The win was the first shutout of the season for the Storm defense.
The two teams battled through the first 40 minutes with neither able to find the net.
The only goal of the match was scored by Jude Mitchell, coming off an assist from Brennan Scott near the 65th minute.
William Clevenger had a standout night in goal for Hopkins County Central, finishing with 8 saves.
The win moves the Storm to 3-4-2 for the season. They are back home Tuesday for a district contest with Caldwell County.
