The struggle to put the ball in the net continues to cause issues for the Christian County Lady Colonels. Franklin-Simpson erupted for six goals in the second half to turn a close 2-0 match into an 8-0 win Thursday night at the Stadium of Champions.
The match ended with 15 minutes left on the clock due to the 8-goal rule.
The Lady Colonel defense kept them in the match early on and allowed the Lady Wildcats just a pair of first half goals as they took a 2-0 lead into the break.
But the pressure on the defense ultimately took its toll in the second half of play.
Kaylee Barrow led Franklin-Simpson with three goals. Addy McKinney added two more.
Christian County (1-10-1) is back on the pitch Tuesday evening in an 8th District contest against the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers.
