
Hopkinsville’s Kaylyn Lynch and Kaydon Coats combined for 6 goals and set up five others on Monday to lead the Lady Tigers to a 9-0 40-minute victory at McLean County.
Lynch netted four times to take her season total to 18, while Coats found the back of the net twice and set up three goals to add to her team-leading seven assists. Lynch added a pair of assists to tie Rebecca Wood for second on the squad.
Wood and Emma DeArmond each had a goal, and Grace Cansler added a goal and an assist. Aubriana Johnson also set up her first goal of the season.
Jaliegha McFarland made one save to earn her third shutout and help the Lady Tigers improve to 7-6-1.
McLean County slipped to 0-8-2 with its fourth straight defeat.
The Lady Tigers renew their rivalry with 8th-District foes Christian County on Tuesday. Hopkinsville has won the last four in the series and six of the last seven.
