Caldwell County dug into its bag of tricks Friday night at Graves County and came up with a big play on a fake punt in the second quarter.
The upback in punt formation, Jack Roach, took the snap and threw a short pass over the middle to Eli Stevens. The ball was batted around by Graves County, but the Eagles bobbled the ball into the hands of Caldwell’s Luke Parker, who turned it into a 52-yard pass play.
That led to a touchdown that put Caldwell up 14-13. However, Graves got to halftime with a 20-14 advantage, then pulled away after the break for a 46-21 triumph.
Still, Caldwell’s fake punt merited the Tigers this Max’s Moment.
