
Easton Bourland ran a blistering 17:38.38 to finish 7th at Saturday’s Muhlenberg County Mustang Stampede and help Dawson Springs to a 3rd-place team showing.
Bourland finished a minute and twenty seconds behind Apollo’s Emmitt Brock in 1st place. Dawson Springs’ 138 points trailed Apollo’s 77 in 2nd and 1st-place Daviess County’s 57.
Deacon Dever’s 18:37.45 run yielded a top-20 finish, followed for the Panthers by Montgomery Johnston in 23rd with a time of 18:56.87.
Rex Blue crossed the line in 19:33.46 to finish 38th, and Sean Stallins was 68th with a time of 20:18.17. Preston Drennan ran a 20:52.49, and Riley Buntin turned in a 23:37.63.
On the girls’ side, Baylee Swatzell led the way for Dawson Springs with a 23:22.70 to finish in 32nd place. Ashtyn Swatzell was 43rd with a time of 23:56.88. Alyssa Allison ran a 26:31.59, and Madeline Oldham finished in 37:40.92.
Ohio County’s Morgan Kobylinski took 1st place with a time of 18:57.70. Daviess County claimed the team title with 42 points.
