Storm Runners Hit the Course at Mustang Stampede

The Hopkins County Central cross-country team was at Muhlenberg County on Saturday for the Mustang Stampede, with Landon Posey leading the way with a time of 20:06.39.

Posey’s run helped the Storm to a 17th-place finish while Daviess County finished in 1st place with 57 points.

Sam Martin was next for Hopkins Central with a time of 20:09.51 to finish 61st.  Jaxon Adcock crossed the line in 21:40.49, Todd Payne ran a 24:12.18, and Dominic Vignone finished in 24:37.47.

Apollo’s Emmitt Brock ran to a 1st-place finish with a time of 16:18.29.

Ohio County’s Morgan Kobylinski won the girls’ race with an 18:57.70.  Jenna Fairchild was first across the line for the Storm with a 30:40.69 to finish 102nd.

Maria Kerby ran a 30:54.67, and Cara Knight finished with a time of 36:23.51.
