
David Cavanaugh paced a balanced Trigg County effort on Saturday at the Muhlenberg County Mustang Stampede to help the Wildcats to a 10th-place team finish.
Cavanaugh crossed the line in 18:12.46 to finish 13th. Apollo’s Emmitt Brock took the top spot with a time of 22:33.61.
Braxton Hargrove was next in 63rd place with a 20:10.61, one of four Wildcat runners to go below 21 minutes. Dekon Perry finished in 20:29.38, followed by Dominic Skinner with a time of 20:49.93.
Travis Cavanaugh finished just inside the top 100 with a 21:12.65, Grant Gallogly ran a 21:47.53, and Kale Noel rounded out the Trigg effort with a time of 23:58.28.
Allayah Hargrove was the lone Trigg female runner, finishing 103rd with a time of 30:45.77. Ohio County’s Morgan Kobylinski ran an 18:57.70 to take 1st place.
