After a tie to South Warren and a tough loss to Marshall County Saturday morning, the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons were looking for a chance to get back on the right track as they traveled to Fort Campbell to take on the Falcons Tuesday evening at Fryar Stadium.
The Maroons started fast and never let off the gas pedal as they rolled to an 8-0 mercy rule win. The game ended after Madisonville-North Hopkins scored a pair of goals in the early portion of the second half.
Eli Redpath started off the night with a pair of goals, both coming off assists from Logan Terry to make it 2-0.
Moments later, it was Redpath with the assist as Nelson Menjivar found the net to extend the lead out to 3-0. Logan Terry’s goal pushed it out to 4-0.
Eli Redpath got his hat trick in the first half to give the Maroons a 5-0 lead. The goal came on an assist from Dru Lile. Lile assisted again before the half, this time on Logan Terry’s second goal of the night as Madisonville-North Hopkins took a 6-0 lead into the break.
As the second half got started Asher Reed scored to quickly put the lead at 7-0.
The match then ended due to the 8-goal rule when Logan Terry completed his hat trick off an assist from Eli Redpath.
Madisonville-North Hopkins improves to 8-6-1 with the win. The Maroons are back on the road Thursday when they travel to Dixon to take on the Webster County Trojans.
