Alice Smith had a hat trick for Lyon County’s girls, but Mayfield claimed a 6-3 victory in soccer action on Monday.
Nia Haley had three goals for the Lady Cardinals, who have won four of their last five games and are now 5-6 this season.
Alexa Gonzales, Lovely Lopez and Greydis Lopez also had goals for Mayfield.
Richmond Herring recorded 13 saves in the Lyon net.
The Lady Lyons, now 6-5, will next host Trigg County in a 5th District matchup on Thursday.
