Caldwell’s Girls Improve to 15-0 All-Time Against Union

Caldwell County’s girls remained unbeaten all-time against Union County with an 8-0 victory Tuesday at Butler Stadium in Princeton.

Caldwell, now 5-5, tallied seven first-half goals, then finished the match on the mercy rule in the first minute of the second half.

The Lady Tigers scored their first goal in the 10th minute. Karmen Beasley picked up the tally with help from Aliya Towns.

Harper Ritchey scored on a corner kick in the 19th minute to make it 2-0.

Nunie Bates used an assist from Brooklyn Hillyard in the 21st minute to give Caldwell a 3-0 advantage.

Addie Middleton scored the first of her two goals in the 23rd minute.

Middleton found the net again in the 34th minute to make it 5-0.

Abbey Gill picked up a goal in the 36th minute.

Jayda Miller scored with help from Towns in the 39th minute to send the Lady Tigers to the break with a 7-0 lead.

It didn’t take long after the second-half whistle for Caldwell to reach the eight-goal mercy rule.

Towns used an assist from Cali Traylor to end the game at 8-0.

Caldwell had 25 shots in the contest while holding Union without a shot.

Kylie Cross recorded 17 saves for the Bravettes.

Union County is now 1-10-1.

Caldwell’s girls are 15-0 all-time against the Bravettes.

The Lady Tigers will go to Calloway County on Thursday.
