Hopkinsville Shuts Out Muhlenberg County for 3rd Straight Win (w/PHOTOS)

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers appear to be hitting their stride as the soccer season begins to head toward the stretch run. The Lady Tigers picked up their third straight win Thursday night with a 4-0 win over Muhlenberg County at the Stadium of Champions.

All of the last three wins have come by shutout with the Lady Tigers outscoring their opponents 18-0 in those matches. For the season, Hopkinsville now has five shutouts.

The win for the Lady Tigers marked just the second time that Muhlenberg County had been shut out this season. The first time came in the Lady Mustangs season opener against Franklin-Simpson.

Hopkinsville got first half goals from Kaydon Coats and Lila Jorgensen to get out to a 2-0 lead at the break.

Lauren Jones found the net at 63:30 to extend the lead out to 3-0.

Kaydon Coats then scored her second goal of the night at 71:00 to complete the scoring for Hopkinsville. She now has 21 goals for the season.

Hopkinsville (9-6-1) is set to host Crittenden County Monday evening at the Stadium of Champions.
