The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons are looking the part of a team that will have to be dealt with in the 2024 high school soccer postseason. The Lady Maroons picked up their 10th win of the season and third in their last four matches as they knocked off Evansville Christian 2-0 Saturday afternoon at Donley Field in Madisonville.
The Lady Maroon defense stifled Evansville Christian, allowing just three shots in the match, while Madisonville-North Hopkins was able to get off 16 shots on the other end.
Madisonville had scores from Madison Hill and Macy Wright. The assists on those goals came from McKinley Wilson and Taylor Barber.
In goal, Kaytee Parish ended up with one save as the Lady Maroons had their 8th shutout of the season.
Madisonville-North Hopkins (10-4-1) plays their final home match of the season Monday as they take on Daviess County.
