Storm Get Wins Over Shawnee and Russellville at Panther Classic

Saturday turned out to be a good day for the Hopkins County Central Storm to make a trip to Russellville. Hopkins County Central was among the teams taking part in the Russellville Panther Classic.

The Storm allowed just two goals over their two matches and picked up solid wins over Louisville Shawnee and Russellville.

Four different Storm players found the net against Shawnees as Hopkins County Central cruised to a 6-1 win. Talon Stephens scored twice while Jude Mitchell, Jackson Mitchell, Will Scott, and Skyler Allen also found the net.

Jackson Mitchell, Chase Lynn, Jak Mitchell, and Mason Gallimore, all had an assist in the win.

A big match for goal William Clevenger, who held the Golden Eagles to just one goal and picked up seven saves.

Clevenger also had a big match against the host Russellville Panthers. Again, he gave up just one goal and had 9 saves as the Storm nabbed a 3-1 win over the Panthers.

Jude Mitchell led the offense for Hopkins County Central with two goals. He also assisted Landon Bennett, who had the other goal for the Storm.

Hopkins County Central (6-4-2) has now won four straight matches. The Storm is set to be back in action Monday on the road at Muhlenberg County.
