It was a tough way to end the road portion of the 2024 girls’ soccer season for Lyon County. The Lady Lyons hit the road Monday evening to Mayfield to take on Graves County and saw the Lady Eagles take a 3-0 win, handing the Lady Lyons their third consecutive loss.
Fouls were an issue for the Lady Lyons in this one. Two of the Graves County goals came on penalty kicks. One about 30:00 into the match and another in the second half.
Richmond Herring had 10 saves in goal for Lyon County in the match.
The Lady Lyons (6-7-0) will look to end their three-match losing skid Tuesday evening when they host Paducah Tilghman at Lee S. Jones Park.
