
Christian County finished in 13th place at the Region 2 Golf Tournament which completed play on Tuesday in Owensboro.
The tourney was suspended on Monday after a pair of two-hour delays. The Colonel golfers had already made the turn and were near completion on Monday when the horn sounded at 6:30 to stop play.
Aiden Lewis had the top score for the Colonels, finishing in 33rd place with a round of 84.
Drew Fincham shot an 87 to finish tied for 45th place, while Peyton Hilton carded a 94 to finish tied for 63rd place. Tay Martinez shot a 98 to finish tied for 75th place and Jaedon McMillan was 90th with a 121.
Owensboro’s Jax Malone won the region title with a 2-under par 70, one shot ahead of Daviess County’s Grant Broughton. Hopkinsville’s Wade Foster was third with an even-par 72.
Owensboro won the team title with a score of 300 – 22 shots better than second place Daviess County.
