Visiting Crittenden County extended its winning streak over 8th-District rivals Trigg County to 18 matches with a 3-0 victory over the Lady Wildcats on Tuesday in Cadiz.
The Lady Rockets snapped a two-game skid to improve to 14-3 and haven’t dropped a set to the Lady Wildcats since 2017.
Crittenden stayed undefeated in district play and has already clinched the top seed in the tournament. The Lady Rockets and Lady Wildcats will meet again in the opening round.
Trigg County slipped to 1-10, 0-4 against district competition, ahead of a trip to Caldwell County on Thursday. The Lady Tigers have won the last 23 matches in the series dating back to 2006.
Crittenden County will host Hopkins County Central on Thursday.
