The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm officially positioned themselves as one of the darkhorse contenders in the girls’ 2nd Region Tuesday evening. The Lady Storm built an early lead and then rode on out to a 7-0 home field win over the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers.
The Lady Storm got another big night from junior Lilly Armour as they took a 4-0 lead at the half.
Armour finished the night with three goals. Emma Vandiver added two goals and an assist.
Riley Richardson and Mary Grace Starks also found the net for the Lady Storm.

Jaliegha McFarland finished the night with 12 saves in goal for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers.
The Lady Storm (10-5-1) have now won 7 of their last 8 matches. They are scheduled to host Apollo on Saturday morning.
The loss ends a four-match winning streak for Hopkinsville (10-7-1). The Lady Tigers are back in action Monday evening when they go on the road to Trigg County.
