Trigg County senior Haydon Reynolds will continue his golf season next week in the State First Round tournament.
Reynolds carded a 3-over-par 75 in Wednesday’s Region 1 Golf Tournament at Calvert City Golf and Country Club. That put him in a four-way tie for seventh individually and earned him a spot in the next round at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club on Monday.
Also playing for Trigg in the regional tournament was Ethan Curling, who shot a 98.
Landon Hunt of McCracken County was medalist with a 3-under 69. That helped the Mustangs claim the team title with a 293.
Marshall County was team runner-up at 306.
Three players tied for second individually with rounds of 73 — Jack Farmery and Dallas Vinson of McCracken and Ian Dahnke of Murray.
Reynolds’ 75 tied him for seventh with Collin Whittington of Caldwell County, Peyton Toon of Paducah Tilghman and Brooks Lamb of Marshall County.
