Lady Maroons Suffer 4-1 Loss at McCracken

The McCracken County girls’ soccer team won its eighth-straight match with a 4-1 decision over visiting Madisonville-North Hopkins on Thursday to run its record to 15-1-2.

Hadley Hodges got Madisonville’s only goal off an assist from Katelynn Howard.  Kaytee Parish was busy between the posts with seven saves for the Lady Maroons.

Maddy Ledgerwood took her season total to 33 with a pair of goals for the Lady Mustangs.  Kiera Tynes and Katelyn Heider also found the back of the net for McCracken, while Peyton Ledgerwood and Ashlyn Blackwell both provided assists.  Addison Smith made five saves to earn the win.

Madisonville slipped to 10-5-1 ahead of Tuesday’s 2nd Region showdown at University Heights Academy.  The Lady Blazers eliminated the Lady Maroons with a 4-1 victory in last season’s region semifinals.
