Caldwell Volleyball Sweeps Trigg for 4th-Straight Win

Caldwell County’s girls won for the fourth-straight outing Thursday night, sweeping three sets from Trigg County in volleyball action at the CAB gym in Princeton.

The Lady Tigers, now 11-6, have taken seven of their last nine matches.

Caldwell also ran its winning streak against Trigg to 24 straight matches with a 25-9, 25-19, 25-6 victory.

The Brylee-Rylee-Kylee trio all had big nights for the Lady Tigers.

Brylee Butts slammed 13 kills and had a block and one dig.

Rylee Thompson had seven kills, seven digs and three aces.

Kylee White recorded 39 assists, a kill, three digs and three aces.

Chevy McGowan added seven kills and three digs while Benashka Thomas had six kills and a block. Medeline Thomas had two kills and two digs.

Anna Giltz had six digs and two aces for the Lady Tigers. Mycah Riddle had five digs. Maddie Cooper totaled two digs and two aces. Morgan Aikins had two digs and an ace.

For Trigg, Kenzie Gusgeski had five kills and six blocks. Carmen Boyd recorded three kills, a block and an ace while Grace Carver had two kills and a block.

Sierra Williams had six assists and a kill. Trinity Perkins added two kills and an assist. Chloe Adams had three assists and an ace.

The Lady Wildcats are now 1-11.

Caldwell’s girls have added a date at Christian Fellowship School for Saturday.

Trigg will next host Murray on Monday.
