The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm got stronger as the night went on Thursday, but a tough start was too much to overcome as they dropped a straight-set match on the road at regional contender Crittenden County Thursday evening.

Crittenden County controlled the first two sets, winning the first 25-8 and the second 25-11 to take a two sets to none lead.

The Lady Storm battled in the third set and made the Lady Rockets work until the very end, before falling 26-24 as Crittenden County closed out the match.

Izzy Hight had another nice night for Hopkins County Central with 15 assists, 2 kills, and 1 ace.

Mallory Wagoner ended up with 8 kills, 6 digs, and 3 aces.

Calajia Mason contributed to the cause with 4 kills, 2 blocks, and 1 dig.

Hopkins County Central (9–9) now closes out the regular season with five straight home matches beginning Monday when the Lady Storm hosts Livingston Central.
