While everyone was talking about the approach of Hurricane Helene and the impact the storm would have on the area over the course of the weekend, the Todd County Central Rebels should have been more concerned about the waves created by Jamarion Gardner.
In a game that was moved up 24 hours due to expected weather on Friday, Gardner was a storm of his own, scoring four touchdowns as the Panthers rumbled past the Rebels 41-6.
Gardner scored for the first time less than four minutes into the game on a 68 yard run to make it 7-0.
Hunter Hallman found Gage Bollenbecker for a 29 yard score with 10:12 to go in the first half that extended the Russellville lead to 14-0. Octavious McKeage then scored on a 16 yard run with 3:38 to go in the half as the lead grew to 20-0 going into the half.

Todd County Central’s only score of the night came early in the third quarter when Braylon Elderbrook took it in from 11 yards out to trim the lead to 20-6 with 10:25 to go in the third.
The rest of the game belonged to Jamarion Gardner. Gardner scored on runs of 64 yards and 25 yards in the third quarter as the Panthers blew the lead out to 35-6.
Gardner would find the end zone one more time midway through the final quarter, pushing the Russellville lead out to 41-6.
Gardner finished the game with 11 carries for 223 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Todd County Central (2-4) faces another big challenge next week as the Rebels go on the road to Steele Stadium to take on Owensboro Catholic.
