Lady Cobras Put the Bite on Lady Tigers in Straight-Set Win

A tough trip south of the border Thursday evening for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers. Hopkinsville dropped its 8th straight match, falling to the Kirkwood Lady Cobras in straight sets.

Kirkwood came out and took control of the match by winning the opening set 25-18 to go up one set to none.

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers pushed the Lady Cobras to the final points of the second set before falling 25-23 to go down two sets to none in the match.

Kirkwood then closed out the night by winning the third set 25-12 to complete the sweep.

Madysen Taggart led the Lady Tigers at the net, coming up with three kills. Taggart also had two aces, one block, and one dig.

Alayna King finished with three assists, three digs, and two service aces.

Kyleigh Weber led the way at the service line with three aces for the Lady Tigers.

Hopkinsville now drops to 2-16 with the loss. They get back to action Friday night at home against Crittenden County.
