Kolby Crook finished tied for 56th place at the region golf tournament in Owensboro. Score aside, the Dawson Springs senior scored a win by just playing.

Crook tore his ACL and just about everything else in his knee in a non-athletic incident in the spring. He had surgery in June and was expected to miss a year of athletics.

However, Crook, who has been playing golf for Dawson Springs since the eighth grade, wanted to play in the region tournament for the final time. With just one tournament under his belt, Crook shot a round 90 in his final high school match.

In this YSE interview, Crook talked about his day on the course and his hopes for a chance to play in college.
