Trigg outshot Hoptown 18-4 as Caroline Kozak got her fifth clean sheet behind the work of defenders Brooke Humphries, Lydia Redd, Payton Southwood, and Julie Dalen.
The win marked a significant milestone in Trigg County sports. With Monday’s win, the girls’ soccer program has a record of 191-190-23. They are the only Trigg girls’ team sport that has an above .500 record. The feat is even more impressive given the fact the program lost its first 30 matches.

The Lady Wildcats will play in the 5th District championship match next Tuesday against Crittenden County or Lyon County.
Hopkinsville fell to 10-8-1 with its second straight shutout loss – a season first.
The Lady Tigers will try and get back on the winning track with a pair of matches this week ahead of next week’s district tournament. Hoptown will host Butler County on Tuesday and host Franklin-Simpson on Thursday.
