After a 1-1 draw earlier this season between Trigg County and Logan County, Monday’s boys’ soccer rematch figured to be a low-scoring affair. Just as they did in the first matchup, the Cougars found the back of the net once, but this time, they were able to blank the Wildcats for a narrow victory.
Trigg County lost for only the second time in nine matches, slipping to 4-8-3. The Wildcats have been shut out in seven of their eight defeats.
The win wrapped up Logan County’s regular-season slate at 5-10-2.
Trigg County returns to the field on Tuesday to host Muhlenberg County before closing regular-season play at Todd County Central on Thursday.
