The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm put an end to their three-match losing streak with a big win on the road Monday evening. The Lady Storm made the journey to Smithland and came back with a straight-set win over the Livingston Central Lady Cardinals.
The Lady Storm had a strong attack at the net from a quartet of players. Aalycia Stringer led the way with 8 kills. Calajia Mason finished with 7 kills. Mallory Wagoner and Isabel Hight added five each.
Hight also had a big night setting up the rest of the team. She totaled 18 assists in the match, giving her 468 for the season.
Hopkins County Central had a big night at the service line with 20 aces. That effort was paced by Emma Frazier with seven. Mallory Wagoner and Isabella Gunn had four each.
Hopkins County Central (10-10) gets right back to action Tuesday night when they host Madisonville-North Hopkins. The Lady Maroons won the first match between the two last Tuesday night on their home floor three sets to one.
