
The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers decided not to work too late on Senior Night. After recognizing their only senior on the team, Rebecca Wood, the Lady Tigers dispatched Butler County 8-0 at the Stadium of Champions.
The match ended with 38:45 left to go in the second half due to the 8-goal rule. The win ended a two-match losing skid for the Lady Tigers.
Hopkinsville was led by Rebecca Wood, who ended up with four goals for the night. Kaylyn Lynch added two goals, while Jessica Rodriguez and Lauren Mayes had one goal each.
Mayes also had two assists in the match. Wood, Lynch, Azaa Enkhtugs, and Aubriana Johnson had one assist each.
Jaliegha McFarland had 1 save in the shutout win for the Lady Tigers.
Hopkinsville improves to 11-8-1 and will wrap up the regular season Thursday night at home against Franklin-Simpson.
