
Madisonville-North Hopkins claimed three tight sets at Hopkins County Central on Tuesday to pick up a 3-0 7th District volleyball victory.
The win ties the Lady Maroons with Caldwell County atop the district standings at 3-1, leaving the teams needing a tiebreaker to determine the No. 1 seed for the 7th District tournament.
Leahy Moody had nine kills, 17 digs and two aces for Madisonville while Mackenzie Stoltz added eight kills and 13 digs.
Keira Williams recorded four kills, three blocks, 17 assists, three digs and an ace.
Katie Beth Sutton added 17 digs and an ace. Avery Rudd recorded eight digs.
Myla Hughes had one kill and one block while Sadie Kirk tallied two blocks. Morgan Buntin had one block and one dig.
Mashyla McAdoo had three digs for the Lady Maroons and Sydney Skeen had three aces and one dig.
Madisonville is now 6-20 overall.
Hopkins Central fell to 10-11 and 0-4 with the setback.
Calajia Mason had six kills, seven blocks and three digs for the Lady Storm while Aalycia Stringer had four kills, eight blocks and nine digs.
Mallory Wagoner had three kills, three digs and two aces. Izzy Hight had a kill and six digs. Isabella Gunn recorded a kill and three digs.
Lyla Fortener had eight digs. Emma Hight had five digs.
One week earlier, the Lady Maroons beat Hopkins Central 3-1 in Madisonville.
The Lady Storm will play at home again on Thursday against Christian County.
The Lady Maroons will see action on Saturday at the Ohio County Quad Match.
