The UHA Blazers put an end to their two match losing skid Thursday night as they wrapped up the regular season on the road at Hopkins County Central. Four different Blazers scored as they took a 5-0 win over the Storm.
The Blazers got on the board at the 16th minute when Lincoln Hauret scored a penalty kick to put the Blazers up 1-0. Just 90 seconds later, Harlow Hampton found the net to move the lead out to 2-0.
Hugh Sisk provided the assist on a goal from Hayden Hunt with 11:16 to go in the opening half as University Heights took a 3-0 lead. That would be the lead as the two teams went to the half.
Less than nine minutes into the second half, Lincoln Hauret struck again and the Blazer lead was 4-0.
Griffin McCoy then closed out the scoring for the night as he found the net off an assist from Jayden Williamson with 4:03 left in the match.
The UHA defense also did its job, limiting the opportunities for the Storm to get off any kind of shot. UHA goalie Eli Finch had one save and his relief man Hayden Fitzsimmons also had one save.
For Hopkins County Central, Will Clevenger had 15 saves for the match.
UHA finishes the regular season at 12-7.
Hopkins County Central ends up at 6-6-3.
