Did Kentucky fans returning to Kroger Field the way they did for games against Georgia and Ohio after UK’s disappointing 31-7 loss to South Carolina at Kroger Field impact the Wildcats?
That’s what I asked Kentucky associate coach Vince Marrow on WLAP Sunday Morning Sports Talk knowing that the Cats are off this week but then host Vanderbilt, a team that stunned UK in Kroger Field in 2022.
Marrow gave me an “A plus” for the question and said he believed UK fans — and media members — knew Kentucky had a good team even though it lost to South Carolina and were ready for the Cats to do more.
“I think deep down inside, they knew it. Our student body knew it, our fans knew it, and they were like, ‘Man, but this team is supposed to be pretty good. I’ve seen them,’” Marrow said. “I just think our student body, man, they have been awesome. They’ve been getting to the games like an hour and a half before kickoff and I mean going nuts.”
Marrow said the weather delays in the opening game against Southern Miss could have sent fans home. Instead, when the team came back out to resume the game, the stadium was still almost full.
“That’s what we needed,” Marrow said. “That’s the type of support we need. Fans can really help you win one or two games. So I just say, all these games that we got at home, let’s pack the house. Let’s go one game at a time but let’s pack the house.”

We shall see what they have come November!
Let’s worry about Oct first. Any thing can happen from now to then especially when it comes to unknown injuries that may occur.
I think they will improve every single week. We have a new quarterback and a new offensive coordinator. We just beat ole miss who has a 4 year starter at quarterback. We have someone who had started 4 games. Went to there house and pulled out a victory. Ill take it.
