Calloway County led just 2-0 at halftime, but the visiting Lakers pulled away after the break for a 7-1 victory Thursday night at Caldwell County.
The match ended the regular season for both squads — the Lakers at 14-3-1 and the Tigers at 3-10-2.
Calloway got two goals and two assists from Oscar Avila and single goals from Zak Stark, Pablo Duque Iglesias, Ivan Damian, Canaan Bazzell and Yoni Damian in the win.
Yani Damian also had two assists while Cole Thomas and Filipe Bertolini each had one helper.
Caldwell’s lone goal came from Collin Turmero midway through the second half. That made it a 4-1 ballgame at the time.
Calloway leads the all-time series 33-3-1.
The Tigers will play again Monday in the 7th District semifinals, facing Hopkins County Central at Madisonville-North Hopkins.
