Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ – Skyler Cantrell

This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of September 30 is University Heights Academy’s Skyler Cantrell. Skyler was selected based on her performance in the Lady Blazers’ win over the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons in a battle of 2nd Region girls’ soccer contenders.

Skyler scored one goal and assisted on the other in UHA’s 2-1 win at Givens Field. Her goal, scored at the 17:00 mark would turn out to be the winning goal of the match. At the time, it gave the Lady Blazers a 2-0 lead.

Going into the postseason, Skyler had 5 goals and 7 assists in helping to lead the Lady Blazers to a 12-3 regular season record.

The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
