The two-time defending 13th District champion Todd County Central girls’ soccer team won’t have an opportunity to try for a third-straight title after a 2-0 loss to Logan County in Tuesday’s semifinal.
The injury-hit Lady Rebels end the season at 4-13-1 with their third loss to the Lady Cougars.
Lilaina Veigel and Nia Scipio provided the goals for Logan County, with assists from Maria Ojeda and Lily Humble.
Kyla Bilyeu made five saves, and Emma Bean added one to combine on the Lady Cougars’ second shutout of the season.
Logan County improved to 7-12 and advanced to a championship matchup with Franklin-Simpson on Thursday. The Lady Wildcats won both regular season meetings, including a 4-3 result two weeks ago.
