NARPS (Non-Athletic Regular People) — I HAVE MISSED YOU! I wanted to get us excited for this week’s Caturday, and there is no better way to do that than time traveling back to Kentucky’s historic win against then #6 Ole Miss two weeks ago.
This is one for the history books, being Kentucky’s highest-rank road win since 1977!
Let’s set the stage —we are down 17-13 with four minutes to go. It is fourth down, and UK fans everywhere are scrambling to know if we will make the same mistake we did against Georgia with a punt. A moment later, we know the answer. We will be going for it. This is the tipping point in the game. QB Brock Vandagriff hurls the ball downfield —BOOM, PASS COMPLETE. The next play starts at the 17, and we quickly find ourselves in the end zone.
Something consistent these past few weeks? UK defense. My goodness, are they putting on a show as one of the best in the nation! Ole Miss could not figure out what to do with our D-Line. We held the Rebels to 353 offensive yards when their 2024 game-day average is 576.8!
This back-and-forth between our Cats and the Rebels made for one of the most exciting games I have ever seen. Nonetheless, we kept the offensive momentum and defense at our A game, walking away with a 20-17 win and leaving Hotty Toddy Football a Hot(tyToddy) Mess.
Today is another big day — Vandy is walking away from their huge win against #1 Alabama last week. Not to knock ’em, but have they seen Kentucky these days? They are in for a treat.
Keeping this momentum on both ends of the field will be key to sending the Commodores singing the blues all the way back to Music City tonight!
Until next week, NARPS!

Great article NARP.!
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Justice Department doesn’t come to Lexington to open up a point shaving investigation against our football team.
I am listening to Stoops postgame interview and he doesn’t sound like a head coach. Our undisciplined play makes you wonder if the kids just tune him out. Vandy has beaten us back to back on Kroger field and that just can’t happen if you are in the SEC. I really think Stoops has reached his ceiling and it’s time to make a change. You can’t pay a coach $9 million + a year for these kind of results.
Stoops peaked when Liam Cohen & Will Levis & playmaker receiver WanDale Robinson combined to unleash a rare offense during the Stoops tenure.
How many teams across the nation…
•• start nearly every game in a sleepy stupor?
•• start nearly every 2nd Half the same way?
There is a lack of leadership by the HC & most of his staff, so the players are left clueless regarding mental prep game after game.
