University Heights Academy and Christian County battled to a 0-0 deadlock at halftime Thursday in the championship game of the 8th District tournament.
But the Blazers struck just 27 seconds into the second half, and went on to beat the Colonels 2-0.
UHA senior Landon Marchand says that first goal energized the Blazers, who went on to claim their fifth-straight district title.
