This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of October 7 is Christian County’s Noah Davis. It was Davis who scored what turned out to be the winning goal and a season-saving goal for the Colonels in their 8th District semifinal match against the Hopkinsville Tigers.
With the match tied at 1-1 late in the first half of play, Davis rebounded a shot and took aim at the goal. His shot deflected off the Hopkinsville goalkeeper and into the net, putting the Colonels ahead for good at 2-1.
Going into this week’s regional tournament, Davis has 9 goals and 3 assists for the Colonels, who are 12-7 as they prepare to take on Henderson County in the regional quarterfinals.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
