The final week of the volleyball regular season kicked off with a long night at Christian County High School. A night that saw the Lady Colonels and Webster County Lady Trojans battle it out to the very end before the Lady Trojans took a 3 to 2 win.
The first set gave indication of what kind of night it was going to be as Webster County eeked out a 25-23 win to go up one set to none.
Christian County fought back and took the second set 25-21 to even the match at a set apiece.
The third set saw things swing back to the Webster County side of the court as the Lady Trojans took a 25-2o win and went up two sets to one.
With their backs against the wall, the Lady Colonels came out firing and dominated the third set, winning 25-11 to force the match-deciding fifth set.
Like three of the four earlier sets, this one was a battle. But in the end, it would be the Lady Trojans who took the match win by claiming the fifth set 15-12.
Chloe Soukup had a big night for the Lady Trojans, ending the night with 17 kills. Kamryn Edens added 15 assists for Webster County.
Christian County (11-16) will wrap up the regular season Tuesday night hosting Caldwell County.
