With the regular season now in the books for the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm, preparations are underway for next week’s district tournament opener against Madisonville-North Hopkins. The Lady Storm are also recognizing a pair of milestones that were attained during the regular season.
Senior Izzy Hight passed 1,000 assists for her career at Hopkins County Central this season. Hight has 539 for the 2024 season.
Also reaching a big milestone this season was junior Mallory Wagoner. Wagoner surpassed 500 career kills this year. For the season she has 179.
Hopkins County Central finished the regular season at 12-12 and will take on the Lady Maroons Monday night at 6pm in the 7th District tournament. The winner moves on to the championship match against top-seed Caldwell County.
