Three teams in the YourSportsEdge.Com coverage area will be taking part in the 2024 Mr. Cool Marshall County HoopFest December 4-7 at Reed Conder Gym. The schedule for the event was officially released late Thursday.
The Todd County Central Lady Rebels, who were the 4th Region runners-up last season and finished with a record of 19-13. The Lady Rebels will take on Crittenden County at 6:30pm on December 4th. The Lady Rockets are expected to be the favorites for the 2nd Region All A title and among the teams to contend for the overall 2nd Region championship.
The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons will take to the court for the first game December 5th at 5:30pm as they take on Evangel Christian. Evangel was the runner-up at the 2024 All A Classic and reached the final four of the Sweet 16 before losing to eventual state runner-up Harlan County. The Maroons reached the 2nd Region semifinals last season before losing to eventual state champion Lyon County.
The Lady Maroons from Madisonville North-Hopkins are also taking part in this year’s event. They will take to the court at 9am on Saturday, December 7, as they go up against Marshall County. Madisonville won the 7th District championship last season before losing a tough opening-round matchup against Christian County in the 2nd Region tournament. The Lady Marshals were runners-up in the 4th District tournament and then lost to McCracken County in the opening round of the 1st Region tournament.
