This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of October 14 is University Heights Academy’s Hayden Hunt. Hunt was selected based on his play in the Blazers’ regional soccer semifinal win against Webster County, which advanced them to the regional championship match.
Hunt scored three goals on five shots to help UHA blaze a 3-1 path past the Trojans and into the regional final. He scored twice in the first half and once in the second half, accounting for all of the goals scored by University Heights.
For the season, Hunt led the Blazers in goals scored with 22. He also had six assists.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
