Genna Calhoun will run at her first state cross country meet after a 17th place showing at Saturday’s Class 1A Region 1 meet at Marshall County High School.
The Heritage Christian Academy freshman finished in 17th place. and covered the 3.1-mile course in 27:04. It was her third fastest time of the year and saw her become one of the individual qualifiers for Saturday’s Class 1A state meet at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
