HCA’s Hensley Advances to State Cross Country Meet (w/PHOTOS)

Freshman Aaron Hensley will represent Heritage Christian Academy at next week’s Class 1A State Cross Country Meet following his run at Saturday’s region meet.

Hensley finished in 22nd place with a time of 19:39 on the 3.1-mile course at Marshall County High School. The time marked a new personal best for Hensley, who broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time.

He will compete at the Class 1A State Meet next Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

Cadyn Travis came in 30th place in 20:41 and Levi Johnston was 31st in 20:43 for the Warriors.

Josh Farmer came in 43rd place, with the senior concluding his career with a personal best time of 22:09 in his final race.

Ben Hensley was 44th and also notched a personal best time of 22:17 in his second varsity race.

Ryan Goforth also came through with a new personal best time, running 25:02 to finish in 56th place.

As a team, HCA finished in eighth place with 170 points, three points behind seventh-place Fulton County and five points behind sixth-place Crittenden County.
